LOS ANGELES - Another Southern California pin landed on Saturday's Cybercab map. Tipster RobotaxiRadar posted that a Cybercab was spotted in Los Angeles the day before, calling it the fifth sighting in about a month. The same tip noted a Robotaxi Operations Manager opening in nearby Torrance. The filing is a validation and lining-up signal, not a launch notice. Riders in Los Angeles still cannot open the Robotaxi app and pay for an unsupervised Cybercab the way Austin riders can when a car is free.

Read the fifth pin for what it is. A month of repeated L.A.-area sightings shows Tesla is exercising the coupe on Southern California streets. A Torrance ops-manager posting sits next to those pins as hiring for robotaxi operations near the same metro. Neither fact turns L.A. into a Book city. Sightings are not service. Until Tesla ties a paid Cybercab Book boundary to Los Angeles in the product itself, Saturday's tip is a pin with a hiring footnote.

Keep the names straight. This Cities piece is Los Angeles / Torrance validation. It is not a refile of the September 28 Policy piece that led on the Torrance Robotaxi Operations Manager hire alone. It is also not Alexandria, Prosper, Queens, Pittsburgh, Houston lot, or Orlando Wawa. Sunday's rail needs a fresh U.S. pin. Radar's fifth L.A. sighting supplies one, with Torrance hiring as context for lining-up, not as a second Policy lede.
Pocket the line: fifth Cybercab pin in L.A. in about a month, Torrance ops hire open nearby. Pin and lining-up, not service. Distinct from the Sep-28 Torrance Policy hire file. Austin remains the only paid Cybercab hail market.
