See It Wednesday: Cybercab Heads to a Tesla Evening in Manchester

Tesla UK says a Cybercab will be at its next Life at Tesla event in Manchester on Wednesday, 7 October. The same weekend, Tesla's Robotaxi app appeared in UK app stores. Paid Cybercab rides remain Austin only.

MANCHESTER, England - British fans get another look at Cybercab this week. Tesla UK said on X that its next Life at Tesla event is coming to Manchester, adding, "we're bringing Cybercab too." The post links to a Tesla event page for 7 October and has drawn more than 48,000 views since it went up on 29 September.

Robotaxi Radar, an account that tracks Tesla's driverless rollout, posted the details late Sunday. It said the car will be on display from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Tesla Certified Pre-Owned Centre in Manchester Trafford, 2 Longbridge Road, M17 1SN. Cybercab.news could not load Tesla's event page to confirm whether visitors need to register, so anyone planning to go should check the page before setting out.

It is the second Cybercab visit to Trafford in under a month. In late September, Tesla UK invited the public to see a gold Cybercab at its Manchester Trafford Delivery Centre for several days, and UK Tesla fans shared photos of the coupe with its butterfly doors raised under showroom lights.

The timing lines up with a software step. On Sunday, Tesla's Robotaxi app began appearing in the Apple App Store and Google Play in many more countries, including the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Singapore, according to Sawyer Merritt, a Tesla investor and commentator who shared store screenshots. Tesla has not announced Robotaxi rides in any of those countries.

Today the purpose-built two-seater carries paying passengers in one place. Austin is the only city where the public can book a Cybercab ride in Tesla's app. Tesla's Robotaxi service also runs Model Y vehicles in Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.

For British readers, Wednesday is the easiest way to see the car up close without a flight to Texas. Watch Tesla UK's account for any change to the time or place, and for any word on a UK Robotaxi plan. Tesla has not given one.
