AUSTIN, Texas - Tesla has named the next city on the Cybercab map. Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla's AI chief, posted on Saturday that two years after the We, Robot Cybercab event the cars are everywhere in Austin, and that Dallas is next.

Sawyer Merritt said the company has officially announced that public Cybercab rides will launch next in Dallas. Tesla's Robotaxi account amplified Elluswamy's note the same afternoon.

The timing sits on top of a hard fleet update from Tesla itself. Earlier on Saturday the Robotaxi account said that one month after launch it had scaled to more than 300 Cybercabs serving Austin, an eightfold increase in 30 days. That is Tesla's own active-fleet figure, separate from the Texas DMV registration count of 319 Cybercabs that tipsters logged earlier in the week.
Austin remains the only city where the public can pay for a Cybercab through Tesla's Robotaxi app. Dallas has already shown up in spotter tips as a testing corridor. Elluswamy's note moves that pin from "seen on the highway" toward "next public ride city," without giving a calendar date.
"Soon" is the whole schedule for now. Tesla did not publish a Dallas open day, a fare map, or a depot address in Saturday's posts. What it did publish is the order: Austin first, Dallas next, with a fleet in the launch city that Tesla says has already passed 300 cars in service.
For a Cities desk that has tracked Cybercab hardware across Texas lots and far-flung sightings, Saturday's line is the cleanest city call yet from Tesla leadership. The next filing worth matching will be the first paid Dallas hail with a date and a live app pin.
