Anyone Can Try It: Tesla's Robotaxi Account Says Hail a Cybercab in Austin

The official Robotaxi account posted that anyone can try Cybercab in Austin - download the app and hail a ride.

AUSTIN, Texas - Tesla's official Robotaxi account posted a two-line invitation on Thursday. The cab is not a private demo. Anyone in this city can hail one.

"Anyone can try Cybercab in Austin," the account wrote. "Just download the Robotaxi app & hail a ride."

The post quoted Dave Lee, who wrote a day earlier that "Cybercab is a time machine to the future." Lee has been taking the two-seaters here this week.

Public Cybercab rides have been in Tesla's Robotaxi app since last week's Austin launch. Tesla has not opened a second city. The account's note is a reminder that the invite is not limited to employees or a waitlist.

The app already lets riders pick Cybercab or a Model Y robotaxi. The purpose-built cab has no steering wheel and no pedals. Service remains limited to parts of Austin.

Tesla has not attached new wait times or a new fleet count to the post. The message is the one on the account.

The Robotaxi account posted the invitation on X on Thursday afternoon.

Anyone can try Cybercab in Austin. Just download the Robotaxi app and hail a ride.
