AUSTIN, Texas - The Cybercab street board just jumped again. CybercabSpotter, the crowd-sourced tracking account that tallies Austin sightings, posted a new record on Sunday morning: 912 Cybercab sightings logged in the city on Saturday, 10 October, with 766 of them tagged driverless.

That total tops the previous all-time high of 868, set on Saturday, 3 October, during the first Austin City Limits festival weekend. The driverless count is a new high as well. About 84 percent of Saturday's sightings were tagged without a safety monitor in the seat, above the 81 percent weekday share record logged earlier this week.
Saturday was not a quiet calendar day. Tesla fans were in town for X Takeover at Giga Texas, and riders were still reporting short Cybercab waits even as crowds left the event. A busy fan weekend that still clears a new sightings high is the opposite of a thin board.

The comparator that matters is the last big weekend. ACL Saturday's 868 had been the ceiling. Before that festival, no day had topped 440. The weekday floor near 560 held after the festival crowds left. Saturday's 912 shows the board can still climb when demand and attention both rise.
Read the figures with care. A sighting is a report, not a car, and one Cybercab can be logged many times as it crosses town. The counts are not a Tesla fleet number. Tesla does not publish how many Cybercabs it runs in Austin on any given day. Separately, Tesla's own Robotaxi account said on Saturday that more than 300 Cybercabs are now serving Austin, an eightfold rise in 30 days.
What the Spotter board adds is the street rhythm: how often those cars show up in public reports, and how often they roll unsupervised. On X Takeover Saturday both columns set records.
Austin remains the only city where the public can pay for a Cybercab ride through Tesla's Robotaxi app. A 912-sighting Saturday with an 84 percent driverless share is the clearest weekend proof yet that the unsupervised Cybercab look is holding under event load.
