Wawa Charge: Cybercab Spotted Plugging In at North Bergen, Miles From Its Englewood Hub

A gold Cybercab was photographed at the Supercharger beside a Wawa on Tonnelle Avenue on Tuesday night, about seven miles south of the Englewood base that trackers call New Jersey's Cybercab hub.

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. - A Tesla Cybercab has turned up at a Wawa in North Bergen. A photo shared on Tuesday night shows the gold two-seater parked at a Supercharger stall beside the store, its light bar glowing on wet pavement, with a black Tesla charging in the next space.

Robotaxi Radar, an account that tracks Tesla's driverless rollout, posted the photo and placed the stop about seven miles south of what it calls the Englewood Cybercab hub. TeslaZoa, another tracker, shared the same sighting earlier in the evening and noted that Cybercab sightings keep popping up across the country.

The charger is a busy one. Public listings show a 12-stall V4 Supercharger at 7408 Tonnelle Avenue, sharing the lot with Wawa. It opened in October 2025, delivers up to 325 kilowatts and is open around the clock, a handy stop for any car spending long days on the roads of Hudson and Bergen counties.

Northern New Jersey has become one of the steadier pins on the Cybercab map. Robotaxi Radar's running list of reported sightings, updated on Tuesday, counts 229 locations in 27 states plus Washington, D.C., with a tight cluster around New York City and the Jersey side of the Hudson. In September, this site reported two Cybercabs sharing a single Queens block.

A sighting is not a service launch. Austin remains the only city where the public can hail a Cybercab through Tesla's Robotaxi app, and Tesla says more than 300 Cybercabs now serve the city. Dallas is next. Tesla has not said what its New Jersey cars are doing or when riders there might get a Cybercab button.

For now, the clue is the charger. A Cybercab topping up at a 24-hour Wawa off Tonnelle Avenue is a car that is putting in real time on New Jersey roads.
