Four Bags Deep: Cybercab's Trunk Fits Two Check-Ins and Two Carry-Ons

AUSTIN - Cybercab only seats two. Its trunk is built for four bags.

Tesla says so in plain language on the official Cybercab FAQ. The gold two-seater, the company writes, is "spacious with ample leg room and enough trunk space to fit two standard check-in suitcases and two carry-on suitcases." The same page lists rear trunk cargo volume at 20.2 cubic feet - a figure that puts the purpose-built robotaxi within a whisper of a Model 3's trunk, without a driver seat eating the cabin.
That is not a tip-recap from a rider video. It is Tesla's own packing claim for the car now giving rides in limited areas of Austin. The FAQ sits on Tesla Support under Robotaxi, next to the dimensions sheet that also lists step-in height, head room, and a 220-pound trunk load rating in related rider materials.

The hatch is part of the curb stop, not an afterthought. Doors can open and close on their own. Riders can open or close the doors and the trunk from the Robotaxi app or the cabin touchscreen, or press the button on the side of the door. Once bags are in, the car keeps them in mind: a Bag Check Tech piece covered how Cybercab can reopen the trunk at drop-off when you loaded it earlier, so you do not walk away empty-handed.
For a two-seater that critics once joked could not handle an airport run, the official answer is blunt. Two check-ins. Two carry-ons. 20.2 cubic feet aft. The gold cab may look small from the curb. Its trunk is sized for the trip.
