SHANGHAI - Tesla's Cybercab China tour is no longer a date on a calendar. Day 1 is on the floor at HKRI Taikoo Hui, the gold coupe on a black stage with butterfly doors raised and an Optimus figure in a glass bay beside the TESLA wall.
Jay in Shanghai posted that the tour had officially started in mainland China, with public viewing in the city. Robotaxi Radar amplified the same stills as Day 1 of the Cybercab Tour in China and tagged the pictures to the Shanghai exhibition at HKRI Taikoo Hui. The frames show mall lighting, rope lines, a camera at the left edge, and visitors close enough to look into the two-seat cabin.
This is a static public exhibit, not a Robotaxi hail launch. Austin remains the market where riders can open the app and pay for a Cybercab when one is available. Shanghai's first day is the look: the same purpose-built two-seater, parked where shoppers already walk.
The backdrop names the national tour's Shanghai first show. Disc wheels and the continuous light bar read the same as Austin hardware. The cabin screen is visible through the open door. People lean in. That is the product beat for Cities: mainland visitors can now stand next to the car Tesla has been walking through Asia-Pacific retail stops.

A rear three-quarter frame from the same floor makes the silhouette plain. The hatch, the light bar, and the open butterfly door sit under atrium glass while two visitors study the cabin. It is not a closed-lot mule. It is a finished-looking Cybercab on a mall stage, with Tesla stanchions holding the crowd to a walk-around.

The prior filing from this desk had Sept. 17 as the scheduled open at Beijing's China Central Place and Shanghai's Taikoo Hui. Thursday's photographs close that loop for Shanghai. The car is on the stage. The doors are up. The mall is open around it. Beijing's window remains on the same tour map. Neither city is selling unsupervised Cybercab rides tonight.

Keep the lanes straight. A mall exhibit is not a geofence. A national-tour first show is not a fare table. Tesla can put Cybercab under rope lines in a Shanghai hall while holding paid service to Austin. Filing Day 1 as an opening, not as a launch, is how the desk stays useful.
The product still photographs well in this setting. Gold paint under atrium glass. Butterfly doors as the silhouette. Optimus as a second Tesla showpiece on the same stand. Together they present a company putting the robotaxi in front of mainland foot traffic on the day it said the public could look.

For Cities coverage, the news is the start, not the rumor of a start. Shanghai has a Cybercab on the Taikoo Hui floor today. Austin still has the hail button. The tour now has a first day in mainland China that a camera can prove.
