Eight Private Stalls: Tesla Plans a Robotaxi Charge Hub in Wesley Chapel

Permit drawings for Tesla's Wesley Chapel service center call for eight V4 Supercharger stalls labeled a Robotaxi Private Site, closed to the public.

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - On a service-center lot beside I-75 Exit 279, Tesla has filed the kind of paperwork that usually arrives before a city ever sees a fare button. Permit drawings for the sales and service center at 4980 Eagleston Blvd., in the Seven Oaks area of Wesley Chapel, describe eight V4 Supercharger stalls, a V4 power cabinet, a 1,600-amp switchboard, and two light poles. The project line names the work a "Robotaxi Private Site." The stalls are not drawn as a public Supercharger destination. They are drawn as fleet gear.

That distinction is the news. Tesla already sells electricity to ordinary drivers at Supercharger sites across Florida. This filing points the other way. The company is preparing a small, closed charge pad on land it already runs, sized for a local robotaxi pool rather than weekend destination charging. Wesley Chapel Community Website reported the drawings on Sept. 17, citing filings prepared by Dewberry Engineers Inc. and issued for permitting as of Sept. 16, 2026. Pasco County has not scheduled a public hearing. The work sits on an already approved commercial property.

Eight stalls is a small pad, not a mega-hub. It is an add-on at a sales and service center Tesla already occupies, with extra light poles and a dedicated cabinet on the same lot. Local coverage has not published a completion date. The drawings are the story: Robotaxi language on a private site, closed to the public, on paper Tesla can build from.

Keep the product lanes straight. Austin remains the market where riders can open the Robotaxi app and pay for a Cybercab when one is available, a service that began in limited zones on Sept. 3. Florida sits on Tesla's approved Robotaxi operations list in this desk's prior filings. A Wesley Chapel permit is infrastructure. It is not a claim that Pasco County shoppers can hail a Cybercab tonight.

Hardware is already charging in the Tampa metro while that paperwork moves. Phong, who writes as @PhonguyenFL, photographed a gold Cybercab on a public Supercharger stall in Tampa, parked in a compact space beside Tesla cabinets and a white pedestal. The car is the same purpose-built coupe Austin hails. The stall is not the Wesley Chapel private pad. It is the public network the fleet still uses today.

A cabin screen in that set showed about 25 minutes remaining, an 80 percent charge limit, and about 82 kilowatts. Phong later told Robotaxi Radar the Cybercab was already on the stall when he arrived and was still there after he charged a Cybertruck from 10 percent to 80 percent. He said the long dwell looked like a temporary charge port until wireless charging arrives. The desk files that as his account of one Tampa stop, not a Tesla spec sheet.

A windshield plate in the same stills carries a Tesla VIN, a production identity on a car using a cable on a public stall. Private V4 stalls at Wesley Chapel would be the next layer: fleet-only power on a service-center lot, not another destination charger for weekend traffic.

Fleet watchers in other metros keep posting neighborhood loops while Florida's filing is about where the cars will plug in. One Houston-area note this week said gold cars had been moving through the Heights each morning, with a reply calling that a sign of testing near downtown. That is a different pin. It is the same product family collecting miles while Wesley Chapel plans a closed pad.

What the drawings do not do is as clear as what they do. They do not publish a fare table. They do not open a Wesley Chapel geofence. They do not date the day the eight stalls turn on. They label eight V4 stalls a Robotaxi Private Site and keep them off the public Supercharger map. For a Tech desk, that is the filing: dedicated fleet charging planned at 4980 Eagleston Blvd., beside I-75, on land Tesla already runs.
