Fair Park Stop: A Gold Cybercab Is on Display at the State Fair of Texas

Spotters found a production Cybercab inside the Centennial Building at Fair Park in Dallas, open to fairgoers through 18 October, days after Tesla named Dallas next for public rides.

DALLAS - A gold Tesla Cybercab is drawing a crowd at the State Fair of Texas. Robotaxi Radar posted photos and a short video on Sunday showing the two-seater indoors at Fair Park, doors raised, with fairgoers circling the car.

The tip came from a spotter who posts as @thatdanielito. Robotaxi Radar placed the car in the Centennial Building at 3809 Grand Ave in Dallas and said visitors can stop by through 18 October, when the fair wraps up.

The setting matches the Texas Auto Show halls that share Fair Park with the fair. A Jeep display is visible behind the Cybercab in one of the photos. Earlier this month, the local site txGarage reported a Tesla booth at the same fair with a Cybertruck, a Model Y and a Model 3. Sunday's tip is the first clear evidence that a production Cybercab has joined that floor.

The car on the floor is the same gold robotaxi hardware Tesla runs for paid rides in Austin: no steering wheel, no pedals, solid disc wheel covers and the Cybercab script on the open door. It is a display stop, not a ride. Fairgoers can look and photograph, not hail it on the Robotaxi app from the Centennial Building.

The timing lines up with Tesla's Dallas push. On Saturday, Tesla AI chief Ashok Elluswamy said Cybercabs were everywhere in Austin and that Dallas was next for public rides. Tesla's own Robotaxi account has said the Austin fleet has already passed 300 cars, an eightfold jump in about 30 days. Dallas Robotaxi service still uses Model Ys for paying riders; gold Cybercabs have been spotted testing and staging around North Texas.

For a Cities desk that has tracked Cybercab hardware from Austin lots to Bellevue and Paris, a fairground floor in Dallas is a different kind of pin. It puts a production Cybercab in front of thousands of Texas visitors who may never have stood next to one, in the city Tesla has already named as next.

The State Fair of Texas and the Texas Auto Show run through Sunday, 18 October, at Fair Park. The Centennial Building is the address Robotaxi Radar gave for the Cybercab.
