Four Million And Counting: Tesla Robotaxi Fleet Blows Past 4 Million Driverless Miles
Tesla's live Robotaxi safety counter ticked over 4 million miles driven autonomously on Friday, as the service stretched to 20 hours a day and Cybercabs made up more than half of the Texas fleet.

Tesla's Robotaxi fleet has now driven itself more than 4 million miles.

The running total on Tesla's Robotaxi Vehicle Safety Report page, which counts miles driven autonomously, crossed the mark early on Friday. A screenshot posted at 7:30 a.m. UK time showed the counter at 3,996,973. Less than an hour later, the Whole Mars Catalog account posted the page reading 4,000,422 under the line "Miles Driven Autonomously."
"4 million miles and counting," wrote Phil Beisel, a longtime Tesla commentator. "Robotaxi just ran over the 4 million mark of unsupervised FSD miles."
The pace is what stands out. The widely followed X Freeze account said the counter had passed 4,006,000 by midday and put the fleet at roughly 3.1 million miles through 18 October, which would mean about 900,000 autonomous miles added in under two weeks.
That growth tracks the hardware on the road. Texas motor vehicle records reviewed by CyberCab.news this week showed 573 purpose-built Cybercabs among 1,080 registered Tesla Robotaxi vehicles, the first time the two-seater outnumbered the Model Y in the state's roster.
More cars are also running for more of the day. Tesla said on Friday that Robotaxi service now operates from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., a 20-hour window that keeps the fleet working through the late-night hours when riders head home.
Every one of those miles feeds the same safety report that Tesla now publishes for the service, and every one of them was driven with no one behind a wheel.
The next million, on this trajectory, will not take long.
4 million miles and counting.
