AUSTIN, Texas - Before Cybercab opens to the wider Robotaxi app crowd Friday at 5 p.m. Central, creators get the daylight hours, Sawyer Merritt reported from launch night.

Replying on X Thursday evening, Merritt laid out a clean handoff: “Creators will have exclusive access from 9 AM to 5 PM so we can capture content for the world, then it’ll open to the public.” That clock sits beside Tesla’s official Robotaxi post setting public Cybercab rides for Friday at 5 p.m. CT.

The split explains the flood of ride clips, cabin footage and tutorial posts landing ahead of the general booking window. Merritt himself promised Cybercab rides “all day” Friday and had already shared early public-trip video Thursday - comfortable cabin, soft suspension, smooth driving, a huge screen, same Austin service area as Model Y Robotaxis.
