AUSTIN, Texas - Tesla’s Robotaxi account said Friday that Cybercabs will be available at 2 p.m. Central time, pulling public app access three hours earlier than the 5 p.m. window it posted overnight and citing popular demand.

The update landed on the official @robotaxi account Friday afternoon Austin time as a quote of its own earlier schedule post. The new line was blunt: “Cybercabs will be available at 2pm CT due to popular demand,” with a cowboy-hat emoji. The quoted post had set the public open for “tomorrow 5pm CT,” which desks had already filed as Friday, September 4.

That three-hour pull-forward matters for riders who planned around the later clock. Exclusive Access on Thursday put invitees and content creators in the two-seat cab. Tesla’s official account has now moved the wider public moment to 2 p.m. Central.

The company has not, in the same post, published separate Cybercab fares or promised that every Austin request will return a Cybercab rather than a Model Y. Riders already see both vehicles listed in the Robotaxi app in Austin. Texas records still show 45 Cybercabs on Tesla Robotaxi’s authorized roster beside hundreds of Model Y robotaxis.

Cybercab.news is treating the 2 p.m. Central mark as the operative public availability time until Tesla posts another change. The two-seater can be hailed in Austin; tesla.com/robotaxi pages that still talk about rides “in the future” are out of date for this city.
