Tesla Sells the Cybercab Cabin as Time Given Back

An overnight company film pitches theater, music and gaming on a 22-inch screen, with V5 Starlink hardware coming soon. The two-seater is a lounge that happens to drive itself.

AUSTIN, Texas - Tesla’s overnight Cybercab film sells the hour you get back inside a 22-inch cabin screen.

The official account posted the clip in the same overnight wave that followed Exclusive Access night. The copy is plain: the future of transport is safer, more enjoyable, and gives you more time back. With theater, music and gaming apps on a 22-inch touchscreen, Cybercab offers a space to be productive or unwind. V5 Starlink hardware, the post says, is coming soon for complete connectivity.

That pitch matches what Elon Musk has said about the cabin feeling like a lounge on wheels. Launch week already showed the other half of the product - deep trunk, braille door releases, a ride that guests described as feeling normal without a wheel or pedals. The new film is the entertainment page of the same brochure.

For Austin riders waiting on Friday’s 5 p.m. Central public window, the message is hospitality as much as autonomy. Tesla wants the first public Cybercab trips remembered for the seat and the screen, not only for the empty space where a steering column used to be.
