Sawyer Merritt Spots More Than Twenty Cybercabs Near Miami Airport

Rows of gold two-seaters staged outside Austin’s launch week. Florida already runs Model Y Robotaxis. The Cybercab count is the tell.

AUSTIN, Texas - While Austin celebrated Exclusive Access, Sawyer Merritt pointed a camera at Florida: more than twenty Cybercabs staged near Miami International Airport.

His September 2 post on X was blunt - “20+ Cybercabs spotted near Miami international airport” - with photos of gold two-seaters lined behind fencing on airport-adjacent ground. Tesla already runs Model Y Robotaxi service in Miami. The Cybercab cluster is not a Florida public open, and Merritt did not claim paid Cybercab rides there. It is staging, visible and numerous.

The timing still lands next to Austin’s launch week. Texas registered about forty-five Cybercabs for commercial robotaxi use ahead of Thursday’s event. Seeing another twenty-plus in Miami suggests Tesla is building inventory beyond the first city, even if the app choice and Friday 5 p.m. Central public clock remain Austin stories for now.
